{"id":129,"date":"2021-01-28T15:29:30","date_gmt":"2021-01-28T15:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tomasmartins.com\/?p=129"},"modified":"2021-01-28T15:30:04","modified_gmt":"2021-01-28T15:30:04","slug":"thoughts-on-terrain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tomasmartins.com\/?p=129","title":{"rendered":"Thoughts on terrain"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>So, I&#8217;m planning a warhammer sixth edition war bands campaign for when I will be able to meet people again, and have been thinking about how I will solve the issue of terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, I&#8217;ve been watching Littlewars tv on youtube since they started posting videos, and they seem to have a rather intelligent solution to the issue of terrain &#8211; fabric over foam blocks for elevation, which allows them to pin terrain through it onto the foam below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, I&#8217;ve taken stock of what I need for the campaign, assuming I&#8217;d be able to have two games running parallel to each other (I&#8217;ll be using a card-system also stolen from little wars tv). The maximum amount of terrain I would need is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Two forests;<\/li><li>Two hills with cliff;<\/li><li>Two areas of rough thorny thistles;<\/li><li>Two areas of boulders;<\/li><li>Two ruins;<\/li><li>Two fallen pillars\/monoliths\/statues;<\/li><li>Two sets of three drystone walls;<\/li><li>Two rocky crags\/ridges.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I think that should be doable, which of course is famous last words.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, I&#8217;m planning a warhammer sixth edition war bands campaign for when I will be able to meet people again, and have been thinking about how I will solve the issue of terrain.
